Willow was born on 31st October 2000 to blockbuster couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith with a joint net-worth of over 260 million dollars. Her father already had two sons before her, Trey with his ex-wife Sheree Zampino and Jaden with his current wife Jada Pinkett.
Little Willow started out just like any child of a Famous Celeb, often starring as a random character in a few movies and doing some voice acting gigs in movies like I am Legend (2007), Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (2008), Kit Kittredge (2008), and Merry Madagscar (2009).
Until 2010, when she began recording music, working with famous American rapper Shawn Corey Carter known by his stage name Jay-Z to release her first single, ‘Whip my hair’ with his record label Roc Nation, did she make a name for herself.
The release of the 9-year-old’s hit single on iTunes a few days to her 10th Birthday took the world by storm.

Rumors of a debut album on Roc Nation with an uncertain release date soon materialized.
The single was such a big hit that it has over 155 million views on YouTube.

The song was soon embraced by the pop music community and the dance moves learned and taught by many.
The singer said that she wanted to make a difference now, to become famous and help people during an interview with the Associated Press.
According to Billboard (2011), She had a long and exhausting tour for Whip my Hair which was partly her reason for giving up her role in the remake of the musical Annie.
She performed live it first on November 2nd, 2010 on the Ellen DeGeneres show and was soon signed to open for Justin Bieber on his UK Tour in March 2011.
